It was a challenging first quarter for India as Germany broke the deadlock early in the game to take a 1-0 lead. Despite the bad weather, both the teams are ready for a tough match.

The second and third quarters remained goalless, allowing Germany to stay ahead while India worked hard to score an equaliser.

Germany almost doubled their lead in the final quarter, but their penalty stroke was denied by the Indian goalkeeper. With a few minutes left, India's last chance of the match came in the form of a penalty corner, but they failed to convert it and lost 0-1 to Germany.

India will play its next match against Germany in Dusseldorf on Monday.
