Amol Kolhe won the Lok Sabha election from Shirur Lok Sabha seat by 140951 votes. He defeated Nationalist Congress Party leader Adhalrao Shivaji Dattatreya.According to the Election Commission of India, the BJP won nine seats this time compared to 23 in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections; In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena won seven seats, while NCP managed to win one seat.

On the other hand, the 'Maha Vikas Aghadi' (MVA) alliance got 30 seats, with Congress getting 13, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) eight and Shiv Sena (UBT) nine.

The counting of 2024 Lok Sabha elections took place on Tuesday. According to the Election Commission of India, the BJP won 240 seats, much lower than 303 in 2019.

Congress, on the other hand, registered a strong growth by winning 99 seats.
