London [UK], English Premier League club Chelsea FC on Monday appointed Leicester manager Enzo Maresca as the team's new manager on a five-year contract with the option of an additional year.

Maresca replaces Mauricio Pochettino who left the club following the completion of the 2023–24 Premier League season.

In Pochettino's only season, Chelsea endured a turbulent season and managed a sixth-place finish. The Blues earned a total of 63 points with 18 wins, nine draws and 11 losses.
