New Delhi, Aviation watchdog DGCA has asked airlines to ensure that children up to 12 years of age are allotted seats in flights accompanied by at least one of their parents or guardians.

The directive comes in the backdrop of cases where children below 12 years of age were not seated with their parents or guardians during flights.

DGCA said in a statement, “Airlines will ensure that children up to 12 years of age are allotted seats accompanied by at least one of their parents/guardians who are traveling on the same PNR and A record of this will be maintained." Tuesday
