Mangaluru, a victim of endosulfan poisoning, suffering from 75 per cent disability, has performed admirably in the SSLC examinations in Karnataka.

The exam results were released on Thursday, in which 17-year-old Sachi passed with 57.12 per cent marks.

He is a student of Seva Bharati's Vidya Chetna in Ramkunja village, 90 km from Mangaluru.



According to Seva Bharati trustee Pramila Rao, he wrote the examinations with the help of a writer.

His father passed away and he has four sisters who are settled in different places. To help his family who is struggling socially and economically, Sachin earns income by involving himself in de-husking betel nuts.

Sachin became a victim of endosulfan poisoning at a very young age and suffered from various types of psychosomatic disabilities.
