Ranchi, Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday urged people to encourage girls in the field of sports and said the children will shine and bring smiles on the faces of parents.

Tendulkar and his wife Anjali were in Ranchi to motivate girl football players of the 'Yuva Foundation' in Ormanjhi block of the district. Yuva and the Saatchi Tendulkar Foundation work together to train and promote girl footballers here.

The cricket legend interacted with the players at his school located near Rukka Dam and described the day as remarkable.

Speaking to media persons, Tendulkar said, “The energy of children is contagious.I have seen them work hard and have fun. I remembered my childhood."

"I was inspired by many children because this journey is not easy for them. They have many difficulties in their lives. They go to play football, which sometimes the parents do not like.I would like to tell them to encourage and support the children." These children will bring a smile on their faces,'' he said.

Speaking about Sachin Tendulkar Foundation, he said that it works in three areas – education, sports and health.

The great batsman said, "Education is because my father was a professor, health is because my wife is a doctor and sports is because I am in it. If these three are put together, it can shape the future of the country." Is.,

Praising the Yuva Foundation, Tendulkar said that he finds loyalty and honesty in it a commitment.

Tendulkar said that he felt extremely happy spending time with the players.

The former India captain, who is also a national symbol of voter awareness and education, appealed to the people to exercise their franchise in the Lok Sabha elections.
