New Delhi: Shares of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd were listed at a premium of over 31 per cent over the issue price of Rs 1,008 on Wednesday.

The stock started trading at Rs 1,325.05, up 31.45 per cent on both BSE and NSE.

Later, the company's shares rose 37.30 percent to Rs 1,384 on BSE and 37.40 percent to Rs 1,385 on NSE.

The market valuation of the company stood at Rs 25,546.24 crore.

Bain Capital-backed Emcure Pharmaceuticals' initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed 67.87 times on the last day of the offer on Friday amid enthusiastic participation from institutional buyers.

The price range of the initial share sale was Rs 960-1,008 per share.

The IPO saw fresh equity shares worth Rs 800 crore issued and an offer for sale (OFS) of 1.14 crore shares worth Rs 1,152 crore by promoters and existing shareholders at the upper end of the price band.

This took the total issue size to Rs 1,952 crore.

The Pune-based company is engaged in the development, manufacturing and global marketing of a wide range of pharmaceutical products across several key therapeutic areas.
