Meenakshi and Manisha produced a similarly impressive performance in their semi-finals, winning 5-0 unanimously against Kazakh boxers Gulnaz Buribaeva and Tangtar Asem respectively.

On the other hand, Anamika was declared victorious as her rival Gulnar Turapbay of Kazakhstan was disqualified for excessive holding after three warnings.

Meanwhile, Sonu (63kg) and Manju Bamboria (66kg) ended their campaign with bronze medals after opposite defeats in their previous four stage encounters.

Sonu fought bravely against Uzbekistan's Zida Yarasheva but lost with a score of 2-3, while Manju Bamboria suffered a tough defeat against China's Liu Yang by 0-5.

Shalakha Singh Sansanwal (70 kg) and Monica (81+ kg) will play in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Four Indian male boxers Yaifaba Singh Soibam (48 kg), Abhishek Yadav (67 kg), Vishal (86 kg) and Gaurav Chauhan (92+ kg) will play their semi-final matches on Friday.

The final will be played on Saturday.
