Nikhat (52kg) continued her dominance in the ongoing prestigious tournament and added another gold medal to her prestigious medal tally by defeating Kazakhstan's Zazira Urakbayeva by a score of 5-0.

Meenakshi started the day with a bang for India as she defeated Uzbekistan's Rahmonova Saidahon 4-1 in the women's 48kg final to give India its first round medal of the competition.

Meanwhile, Anamika (50kg) and Manisha (60kg) suffered defeats, ending their campaign with silver medals.

Anamika fought bravely but lost 1-4 against reigning World Asian champion Wu Yu of China, while Manisha suffered a 0-5 defeat against Victoria Grafieva of Kazakhstan.
