Thane: A portion of the railway protection wall collapsed near a platform at Thane station amid rain on Friday morning, injuring a 62-year-old man.

Yasin Tadvi, head of disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), said the 60x20 feet wall collapsed around 11.45 am near platform number 2 at the busy train station on the Central Railway route.

He said the wall fell on a pedestrian passing by on the adjacent road, injuring him.
