New Delhi, Eight hearing impaired men's cricket teams will compete in the upcoming T20 Deaf Indian Premier League in Jammu from April 16-19.

These teams will be Def Punjab Lions, Def Rajasthan Royals, Def Koch Tuskers, Def Delhi Bulls, Def Kolkata Warriors, Def Chennai Blasters, Def Hyderabad Eagles and Def Bengaluru Badshahs.

The Indian Deaf Cricket Association said in a release that a total of 14 matches will be played before the final.

The four-day tournament will begin with the opening ceremony at the Maulan Azad Stadium in Jammu on Tuesday.

The IDCAT-20 champion will receive a prize of Rs 2 lakh, while the runner-up will receive Rs 1 lakh.

There will also be individual cash prizes in batting, bowling, fielding and Super Six categories.

This tournament is being organized in collaboration with Serum Institute of India, Cyrus Poonawalla Group Company.
