Kolkata: The Election Commission on Sunday ordered re-polling at one booth each in Barasat and Mathurapur Lok Sabha constituencies. An officer gave this information.
He said the decision on repolling, which will be held from 7 am to 6 pm on Monday, was based on reports from returning officers, district election officers and concerned observers.
He said that the booth of Barasat constituency is located at Kadambagachi Sardar Para FP School of Deganga assembly constituency, while the booth of Mathurapur is located at Adir Mahal Srichaitanya Vidyapeeth of Kakdwip assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, BJP wrote a letter to the Election Commission demanding re-polling in several booths of Diamond Harbor Lok Sabha seat.
Voting on all these seats was held in the last phase on June 1.
