Chandel (Manipur) [India]: An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Chandel, Manipur in the early hours of Sunday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The NCS said the epicenter of the earthquake was located at latitude 23.9 North and longitude 94.10 East and at a depth of 77 kilometers.
According to NCS, the earthquake occurred at 2:28 pm (IST) on Sunday.
"Eq of M: 3.5, Date: 02/06/2024 02:38:50 IST, Latitude: 23.91 North, Longitude: 94.10 East, Depth: 77 km, Location: Chandel, Manipur," NCS said in a post. 'X'.
No casualties have been reported yet. At present no damage has been detected.
