New Delhi: DUSU president Tushar Dedha has filed a police complaint against the Congress student wing and some of its members for making "false" and "misleading" claims about this mark sheet.

This comes after Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) vice-president and NSUI member Abhi Dahiya on Saturday last week lodged a complaint with vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh accusing Dedha of using a mark sheet fraudulent to be admitted to the university.

Several NSUI members and Congress supporters released a copy of the complaint along with photographs of Dedha's mark sheets accusing him of fraud and demanded that he be sacked as DUSU president.

Terming the claims "baseless", Dedha has now filed a police complaint against Dahiya, the NSUI, its national president Varun Choudhary and Rohtak Congress MP Deepender Hooda for "targeting" him on social media to tarnish his reputation.

"I have been a part of Delhi University since 2016, and my certificates went through scrutiny when I took admission in graduation and after graduation, and then again during my nomination for DUSU elections. If I am asked again, I am fully willing "To operate any investigation, it is imperative that those who make unfounded accusations against me and play with my reputation are punished," Dedha said.

In the complaint filed with Yogesh Singh, Dahiya had alleged that Dedha has two class 12 marksheets from different boards (CBSE and Uttar Pradesh board), both obtained as a regular student in the corresponding term in 2016.

He alleged that Dedha used "illegal means" and provided "false facts" about his qualification for admission into Delhi University and submitted a false affidavit regarding his qualification for the purpose of contesting the presidential elections. The NSUI demanded that the DUSU presidential election results be declared void.
