With at least eleven international football clubs now setting up their base, Dubai has been a preferred destination to select, attract and develop talented individuals across various sporting disciplines and all nationalities.
According to Dubai Sports Council (DSC), this is in pursuance of the policy set by the Government of Dubai attracting talented people from all walks of life. This is in line with DSC's drive to attract, develop and appreciate the role of the private sector through talented people in various sports while providing all facilities and legislation to promote investment in the sports sector.
According to the latest figures, the number of international football academies hosted by Dubai has increased to eleven out of a total of 400 sports academies spread across the emirate.These academies run their training activities to discover and develop young sporting talents of different ages and nationalities in more than 50 diverse sporting disciplines.
Among the most prominent international football clubs that have made Dubai their headquarters for their training academies are Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Ajax Amsterdam, Greek Olympiacos, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Spanish La Liga and Argentina.
