New Delhi, Delhi Technological University on Tuesday launched a five-year integrated BSc and MSc program in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Economics for the academic session 2024-25.

DTU Vice Chancellor Prateek Sharma told reporters at a press conference that these new programs have been designed as per NEP 2020, with multiple entry and exit options after completing the required number of credits.

DTU has started M.Tech (Research) program for various subjects from the academic session 2024-25 in which two-thirds of the curriculum will involve research and one-third will involve course work for the students.

It plans to open five centers of excellence and research, namely, Center of Excellence in Energy Transition, Center of Executive Education, Center of Excellence for Use of Drone Technology, Center of Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Center of Community Development and Research.

A statement from the university said the objective behind setting up the centers is to conduct cutting-edge research to develop technological solutions to social problems.

Additionally, DTU is planning to set up a dedicated office of digital education. It said the office will develop digital infrastructure, expand the availability of online learning platforms and create online course content with its renowned faculty.

Additionally, to promote corporate relations of DTU, the University will set up a Corporate Relations Office in the University.

It also aims to reach out to the industry with proposals to utilize their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds effectively.
