Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said police have seized 'Yaba' tablets worth Rs 8 crore and arrested two people from Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

"In an anti-narcotics operation conducted by @karbianglongpol...a vehicle was stopped at Dilai Point and 40,000 YABA tablets worth Rs 8 crore were seized," Sarma said in a post on Twitter.

He said, two people have been arrested in connection with the transportation of drugs in the operation.

'Yaba' contains addictive methamphetamine and caffeine.

The CM also appreciated the efforts of Assam Police towards making the state drug free.
