Mumbai: A finger tip found inside an ice cream cone in Mumbai's Malad area recently belongs to an employee of an ice cream factory in Pune's Indapur, according to DNA tests conducted during the investigation, a police officer said on Thursday.

He said, the Forensic Science Laboratory report received during the day said that the DNA found on the finger tip and that of ice cream factory employee Omkar Pote was the same.

"A part of Pote's middle finger was cut off during the process of filling ice cream at the Indapur factory. It was later found in an ice cream cone ordered by a Malad-based doctor, who alerted the authorities," the officer said.
