Divyanka posted details about the incident on her Instagram Stories.

“Vivek and I are safe and well but most of our essentials, passports, bank cards and expensive items have gone missing from our car at a resort property. Just hoping for quick help from the embassy,' Divyanka confirmed.

He then added that his car was parked at a "secure resort property" at the time of the incident.

“The car was parked at a secure resort property when the break-in occurred. Please don't bother us with suggestions as to how care should have been taken. The resort knew about the 'luggage in car' situation and were cool about it.

“This can happen to anyone… but I hope it doesn't! Help, or sympathize, if you can. If it seems difficult…please keep going about your business,” she added.

It was on July 10, when the couple arrived in Florence for their holidays and had planned to spend a day there. According to media reports, the robbers left behind only some old clothes and food items.
