Bengaluru, JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Thursday issued a 'stern warning' to his grandson and suspended party MP Prajja Revanna and asked him to return to the country and face investigation into sexual harassment allegations. There will be no interference from him or other family members in the interrogation.

He asked the party's Hassan MP Prajwal, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment by several women, to return to India and surrender before the police. Prajwal reportedly flew to Germany in the last week of April.

Gowda clarified that this is "not an appeal that I am making, it is a warning that I am issuing".

"If he does not heed this warning, he will face my anger and the anger of all his family members. The law will take care of the charges against him, but not listening to the family will result in his complete isolation It will be ensured that there is no respect left for me, he will have to return immediately,” Gowda said.“I also want to make it clear that I will ensure that there will be no interference from me or my family members in the investigation against him. I have no feelings in this regard, only an issue of justice. " Those who have suffered as a result of his alleged acts and misdeeds,” the former PM said.

He recalled that he had spoken to the media about Prajwal Revanna on May 18.

“It took me some time to recover from the shock and pain he (Prajwal) has caused to me, my entire family, my colleagues, friends and party workers,” he said.I have already said that he should be given the harshest punishment under the law under which I was found guilty,” the veteran leader said.

Saying he was aware that people had spoken 'harsh' words against him and his family in the last few weeks, apparently over this issue, Gowda said he would not like to stop them, criticize them and fight with them. Arguing that "they should do that." Have waited until all the facts come out."

He also cannot convince people that he was unaware of Prajwal's activities, or that he had no desire to protect her while being unaware of his activities as well as his travels abroad."I believe in answering the voice of my conscience. I believe in God and I know that the Almighty knows the truth," the JD(S) patriarch said.

He also chose not to comment on "the political conspiracies, exaggerated provocations and lies that have been maliciously spread in recent weeks."

He said, "I am sure that those who did this will have to answer to God and pay a heavy price one day. I lay my truth and my burden at the feet of God.,

He said, "They have stood by me in more than 60 years of my political career and I am very grateful to them. As long as I live, I will never let them down."
