Kolkata, West Bengal CID sleuths are preparing to investigate how the tools used in the murder of Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar were obtained, a senior official of the investigating agency said on Saturday.

Several instruments were used in butchering Anar's body inside a posh flat in New Town near Kolkata and investigation revealed that they were obtained from somewhere in the city by the accused persons.

An arrested man, who police claim is a butcher by profession, allegedly cut the Bangladesh MLA's body into 80 pieces and mixed them with turmeric before dumping them at various places, including a canal around New Town. mixed with.

He said that the police are planning to match the fingerprints found from the New Town flat.

CID had recently recovered meat pieces and hair pieces from the septic tank of New Town Flat.

The official said Anar's daughter is likely to arrive in the city early next week.

The search for the missing MP, who had reportedly arrived in Kolkata on May 12 for treatment, began after Gopal Biswas, a resident of North Kolkata's Baranagar and an acquaintance of the Bangladeshi politician, lodged a complaint with the local police on May 18. ,

In his complaint, Biswas said that Anar had left his Baranagar residence for a doctor's appointment on the afternoon of May 13 and he would return home for dinner.
