'Campaigns are being run for population control. Addressing a state-level program organized at Rajasthan International Center on the occasion of World Population Day, the Chief Minister said, "Everyone should be with it, but there is a community where there is no change."

He said that increasing population is a matter of concern not only for India but for the entire world.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of concern that from 1901 to 1950 the population of Rajasthan increased by only 60 lakhs. “After 1951, the population of our state will be more than eight crores. The increasing population is causing imbalance in nature,” the Chief Minister said.

He said that climate change is also a part of this imbalance. “Pandemics and natural disasters have been increasing rapidly in the last few years. The increasing population also affects economic growth, employment, income, poverty and social security,” the Chief Minister said.

He said that it is a matter of satisfaction that due to the efforts of the state government, the population growth rate in the state is continuously decreasing.
