New Delhi, Designer Bhavi Mehta has been declared the winner of the ninth edition of the Oxford Bookstore Book Cover Awards for her creation of Pradeep Sebastian's "The Book Beautiful" book jacket.

The winner was announced at the India Habitat Center (IHC) on Monday, attended by historian and jury chairperson Alka Pandey, author-politician Shash Tharoor, Ambassador of Norway and honored with a trophy, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. India May-Ellin Steiner and Swagat Sengupta, CEO, APJ Oxford Bookstores.

The other six shortlisted books were – Ahlawat Gunjan's "The Penguin Book o Indian Poets", Saurav Das's "Azad Nagar", Saurabh Garge's "The Adornment o Gods", Amit Malhotra's "Not Quite a Disaster After All ", Bonita Vaz Shimre's "Mystics and Skeptics" and Shashi Bhushan Prasad's "When Indian Flowers Bloom in Europe" – spanning different genres and subjects.

“Each cover tells a unique story, and it is truly an honor to be recognized by celebrating these artistic achievements. Paramita Brahmachari's cover "Pebble Monkey" won the Oxford Bookstore Book Cover Award 2023.
