Of these, 27 have been identified in Patna. Within Patna, the Azimabad area has been particularly affected, where 13 cases have been reported, while Kankarbagh and Bankipur areas have recorded five cases each.

On Saturday, dengue claimed two more lives in the state capital, taking the total number of deaths due to the disease in the state to five.

Apart from Patna, increase in cases is also being seen in other districts. Within the last 24 hours, five new cases were reported in Samastipur and four in Saran.

The situation is becoming increasingly worrying and health authorities are intensifying their efforts to control the spread of the virus and provide necessary medical assistance in the affected areas.

Currently, more than 45 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various government and non-government hospitals in Patna.

A total of 1,123 cases of dengue have been reported since January, of which 523 cases have been particularly affected by Patna.

Apart from Patna, a large number of dengue cases are also being reported in districts like Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Siwan and West Champaran. The situation has become more complicated with the increase in viral flu cases in the state.

District Infectious Disease Control Officer Dr. Subhash Chandra Prasad has issued a public advisory.

“I urge residents to sleep under mosquito nets and use mosquito repellents to protect themselves from being bitten. We have also asked people to spray kerosene or other chemicals in stagnant water to prevent mosquito breeding. Residents are advised not to allow water to accumulate around their homes, avoid keeping water in coolers during the season and regularly check the back of refrigerators to ensure no water is collecting. ,” Dr Prasad said.
