Bengaluru, Deloitte, the largest professional services network, has opened the first of its kind 'Phygital' Innovation Center in Bengaluru.

This phygital (physical+digital) innovation center provides domain-specific solutions to help businesses reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Ashwin Velodi, partner and strategy, innovation and asset leader, Deloitte India, said the Center of Innovation and Technology (DCIT) aims to help clients find new and sustainable ways to grow their businesses and inspire a “culture of innovation”. To do.

Velodi explained that DCIT is a technology-based project that will help businesses from different sectors visualize “the art of the possible” and execute business models through physical experience.

It will also provide end-to-end support to businesses through “advisory-implementation-operations”, he said.The center is spread over 12,500 square feet and comprises five areas: retail manufacturing, digital studio, immersive and advanced connectivity.

“Our center aims to help businesses across a variety of industries redesign their customer interfaces and experiences, supply chains and product development, and create diverse prototypes.

“The new Phygital Experience and Innovation Center shows how cutting-edge technology combined with the use of 5G and AI can combine visionary ideas with the delivery of high-quality products and services,” Velody said.

He stressed the importance of “co-creation”, saying Deloitte aims to bring the entire ecosystem together for this endeavour.

“We don't want to do it alone, it's a co-creation journey.Not just customers but all our ecosystem and alliance partners will be part of this journey,” he said, adding that DCIT has over 60 use cases across sectors such as retail, manufacturing and healthcare.

Additionally, Velody said that the use cases will be refreshed every 90 days.

He further said that DCIT uses mixed reality, immersive reality and augmented reality to provide real-time experiences to customers.

He said it is important to know the expected results for new business ideas.

He said DCIT will test the conditions for proper understanding and articulation to ensure business and sector relevance before deployment.DCIT is also tying up with academia like IIT Delhi and IIT Madras to provide impetus to innovation, Velodi said.
