New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvin Kejriwal on Wednesday said the city will get full statehood after Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power on June 4.

Kejriwal held a road show in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar area, where he said the India Bloc was forming the government after the announcement of Lok Sabha election results.

Kejriwal said, "As soon as we form the government, the first task will be to give full statehood to Delhi."

He was also accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal and AAP's Lok Sabha candidate from New Delhi, Somnath Bharti.

The Chief Minister further said that a new LG will be appointed after getting full statehood. “That LG will be yours, who will work for you and improve the law and order of Delhi.”

He said that everything will be fine after June 4.
