New Delhi: In the wake of Delhi BJP's protest on Friday against the electricity price hike, Delhi Police issued traffic advisories for the affected roads and advised commuters to plan their journey accordingly.

The party's Delhi unit, led by state BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, is protesting against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government at Shaheedi Park in ITO here.

"A foot march was carried out to Delhi Secretariat under the leadership of state president Shri Virendra Sachdeva to protest against the increase in electricity prices by the Kejriwal government," Delhi BJP said in a post on Twitter.

Delhi Traffic Police said that Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (BSZ Marg) may be closed for two hours due to the protests.

"In view of the protest by a political party near Shahidi Park, BSZ Marg Delhi, traffic on BSZ Marg, IP Marg will remain heavy and BSZ Marg may be closed for traffic between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Please note these Avoid roads and plan your journey accordingly,” Delhi Traffic Police said in a post on Twitter.
