New Delhi, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad here on Saturday.
According to the advisory issued on Thursday, there will be diversion/restriction on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg.
As per the advisory, commuters are requested to avoid Delhi Gate T ITO Chowk to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate from 5 pm to 8 pm on Saturday.
Entry to the stadium will be from Bahadur Shah Jaffa Marg from Gate No. 1 to 8, from JLN Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium BU Terminal from Gate No. 10 to 15 and from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near Petro Pump from Gate No. 16 to 18. , it said.
Free parking, park and ride facilities will be available at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road.
There is no parking for the general public near the stadium, except for limited parking spaces for labeled vehicles only. The advisory states that it is mandatory to display car parking labels on the windscreen.
Shuttle facility is available for visitors coming by metro at ITO metro station and Pragati Maidan metro station. Additionally, park and ride facility is available at Mata Sundari Parking for gate numbers 1 to 8 and 16 to 18 and Rajgha Power House Road and Velodrome Road for gate numbers 9 to 15, the advisory said.
All buses from park and ride and shuttle facility sites will commence their services 2 hours before the match and will continue till one hour after the start of the match. The advisory said that bus services from the stadium to their respective destinations will start as soon as the game ends and will continue till one hour after the end of the match.
