New Delhi [India], Delhi Police arrested three persons and busted two factories manufacturing fake airbags, police said. According to the police, the three accused have been identified as Faizan, aged 26, Mohammed Faraz, aged 35 and Furkan, aged 35, all residents of Delhi. Police seized 921 fake airbags worth more than Rs 1.84 crore (Rs 1,84,20,000).
The seized items include 12 airbags of MG, 13 airbags of BMW, 22 airbags of Citroen, 23 airbags of Nissan, 27 airbags of Renault, 17 airbags of Volkswagen, 20 airbags of Mahindra, 14 airbags of Toyota, 32 airbags of Tata, Contains 39 airbags. Honda Airbags, Skoda 57 Airbags, Hyundai 66 Airbags, Suzuki 86 Airbags, Kia 1 Airbag, Ford 08 Airbags, Volvo 03 Airbags, Without Logo 15 Airbags, Passenger Side 54 Airbags, 05 Balloon Cloths, Police said, 287 airbag motors and 109 other raw material items were recovered. A case has been registered under section 336/34 of IPC and further investigation is underway.
