New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested three members of a mobile phone snatching gang, officials said on Wednesday.

Police said 75 stolen mobile phones were recovered from them and their arrest solved 23 snatching cases.

The deputy commissioner said, "On June 16, complainant Narendra from Aligarh reported at Nangloi police station that he was coming from Maharaja Surajmal Stadium towards Nangloi when two men snatched his mobile phone and fled on a scooter. An FIR “A case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.” Police (Outer North) Jimmy Chiram said.

According to the officer, during the investigation, raids were conducted in Rao Vihar and Nangloi area and two people identified as Abhay (22) and Ankit (32) were arrested.

"They took the name of Rahul Jangra, who was found to have stolen mobile phones. The team arrested Jangra from Sultan Puri area. We recovered a total of 75 stolen mobile phones from his possession," the DCP said.
