Delhi was directed to nab the manufacturer and supplier of adulterated spices, accordingly, a team was deployed on May 1 to develop information in this regard and raids were conducted on two manufacturing units operating in Karava Nagar area. Were. The first raid was conducted on the basis of this information.It was conducted in an area of ​​Karawal Nagar where Dilip Singh alias Bunty and Khurshid Malik were found operating the unit. According to the police, it was found that Dilip Singh was operating the processing unit and making adulterated turmeric using non-food banned items. Seeing the huge quantity of acid and oil, both the accused tried to run away from the police but were caught after which both of them were interrogated. During interrogation, it was revealed that the owner of the manufacturing unit was the accused Dilip Singh, while Khurshid Malik was the owner of the adulterated goods. Was supplied. The spices manufactured there include turmeric powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder and other raw materials like rotten rice, rotten coconut, eucalyptus leaves, rotten blackberries, wood dust, citric acid, bran, dried chilli heads, kola chemicals. Including adulterated spices were found. During the inspection, the raw material used in the manufacturing unit was not edible, hence the officials of the Food and Safety Department came to the spot and inspected the manufacturing unit and recovered several samples of adulterated turmeric, chana masala, dry mango powder, coriander powder etc.During interrogation it was also revealed that another similar processing unit was running at Kali Khata Road, Karawal Nagar, Delhi, hence a raid was conducted and another person, Sarfaraz, was caught for his involvement in manufacturing adulterated spices , Food and Safety Department, the people present on the spot inspected the unit and took several samples of the adulterated fake spices recovered. Both the unit owners were found to be cheating the general public as well as playing with their lives by manufacturing these adulterated and dangerous non-edible essential spices. In the above raids, 7,100 kg of adulterated Indian spices were seized. Additionally, 2 manufacturing units (large size), machines, tempos and other equipment and articles totaling 15 tonnes of adulterated Indian spices and raw materials (which were made from inedible substances) were seized. Articles, contraband, obscene substances, chemicals, acids etc. were recovered, hence a case was registered under appropriate sections of law in Crime Branch, Delhi and all the three accused were arrested in the case.The case revealed that Dilip Singh along with his friend had set up the processing unit to earn extra money. He used to make adulterated spices using waste material and sold them to vendors of Sadar Bazaar, Khari Baoli, Pul Mithai and weekly market.
