“It has been reported that some criminal, anti-social elements or terrorists hostile to India may pose a threat to the safety of the public, dignitaries and vital establishments by use of sub-conventional aerial platforms such as para-gliders, para-motors. , hang gliders, UAVs, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized powered aircraft, quadcopters or even para-jumping from aircraft etc.,” the police commissioner's order read.

The order mentions that the above activities will be punishable.

The order will come into effect from June 9 and will remain in force for a period of two days, unless it is withdrawn earlier.
