Due to aneurysm C.G. The patient, named Ramesh, suffered a massive brain hemorrhage, causing severe headaches and vomiting.

Doctors at Fortis Hospital in Greater Noida successfully treated him with a non-invasive technique called 'Neuro-Intervention Aneurysm Coiling'.

“We employed a unique modification of the traditional technique called neuro-intervention aneurysm coiling, which is not widely practiced in many centers in Delhi-NCR,” said consultant neurosurgeon Prashant Aggarwal.

Using an advanced catheter inserted through the blood vessels, the team achieved almost complete closure of the aneurysm without any incisions or stitches on the patient's skull.

This minimally invasive endovascular approach not only sealed the weakened area, but also significantly reduced the risk of further bleeding, the doctors said.

“This procedure offers minimal risks and complications during and after the operation, allowing the patient to recover rapidly and effectively,” Agarwal said.

This innovation is particularly beneficial for patients over 50 who may be hesitant about open brain surgery.

Although the exact cause of brain aneurysm is unclear, individuals with high blood pressure and a history of smoking are at greater risk.

"Although it is more common in older individuals, we are also seeing cases in patients below 30 years of age," the doctors said.

He said Ramesh has fully recovered and is resuming daily activities without any symptoms of headache or vomiting.
