New Delhi: A metropolitan court here on Thursday sent to 14-day judicial custody the owner and on-duty doctor of a private hospital where seven newborns died and five were injured in a fire on May 25. They went.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vidhi Gupta Anand remanded the hospital owner Dr Naveen Khichi and Dr Akash, who were on duty when the fire broke out late Saturday night, to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, the doctor has filed a bail plea which will be heard on June 3.
