New Delhi: A man surrendered at a police station in Central Delhi after allegedly stabbing his friend to death over a money dispute. The police gave this information on Tuesday.

He said that both the accused and the victim were homeless and lived near Gurudwara Bangla Sahib here.

According to the police, the accused Rajan (45) reached Parliament Street Police Station on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday with a knife in his hand.

Police said Rajan was immediately taken into custody and during interrogation he revealed that he had killed his friend Banne (25) near the gurudwara over a money dispute.

A team from the police station was sent to the spot where the victim was found, a police officer said.

The officer said Banne was taken to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The officer said he had knife wounds on his chest and stomach.

Police said that further investigation in the matter is going on.
