New Delhi [India], The Delhi High Court has recently directed the Delhi Police to take a decision within four weeks on the representation of former MLA Rambir Shaukeen seeking round-the-clock security. Justice Swarnkant Sharma has directed the concerned DCP to take a decision on the representation within four weeks. The concerned DCP will consider the present petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner and may take a decision on the same within four weeks under intimation to the petitioner, as per law,'' Justice Swarnkant Sharma said in the order passed on May 17. They filed a petition through advocate Vijay Dalal seeking an order directing the Delhi Police to provide armed security personnel round the clock for their protection. The petitioner has prayed for the safety of his life as he fears danger, the High Court has directed him to provide his mobile number to the investigating officer and SHO. Similarly, the mobile numbers of the concerned IO, SHO and Beat Constable Also be shared with the petitioner, the High Court also directed the concerned police station officials including the SHO to take action as per law if any complaint is received from the petitioner.
