New Delhi: A court here granted bail to a 20-year-old man accused of rape, saying it was a matter of trial whether he had committed the crime or not.

Additional Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar was hearing the bail plea of ​​the man, who claimed that he was in jail since April 12 after being falsely implicated in the case.

"The accused is a young man of 20 years and is not involved in any other case. The prosecutor has not opposed the bail plea of ​​the accused. The charge sheet has been filed. The trial whether the applicant sexually harassed the prosecutrix or not ,” the court said in its June 22 order.

The court also said that as per the last report, the prosecutor did not provide his mobile phone despite being given notice and his friends did not support his statement.

It said that according to the medico-legal case, there were no signs of assault or external injuries and that the prosecutor had refused to conduct an internal investigation.

"In view of the above facts and circumstances, the applicant or the accused is granted bail on furnishing a personal bond with one surety amount of Rs 20,000 each," the court said.

Other bail conditions included the accused not contacting the complainant, not tampering with evidence, not influencing witnesses, giving his address and mobile phone number and appearing before the court on each date.

Sabzi Mandi police station in January registered a case against the man under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Case was registered.
