Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh), [India], Delhi reached the semi-finals of the Swami Vivekananda Under-20 Men's National Football Championship after defeating Kerala via tie-breaker at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Ground in Narayanpur Chhattisgarh on Thursday. The teams were tied 3-3 at the end of regulation time, after which the breaker was imposed and 30 minutes of extra time failed to break the deadlock. In the tiebreaker, Delhi prevailed over its rivals and won 4-1. Delhi goalkeeper Karan Makkar saved his team's victory with two penalty kicks and was named player of the match. Delhi became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals after Karnataka and Manipur scored for Delhi in the tie-breaker. Only Akshay Kumar Subedi managed to send his Thanedar to the right place in Kerala. The stipulated 90 minutes were interesting as the match switched from one end to the other at regular intervals. Kerala was leading 2-1 at half-time, but by the 65th minute Delhi counterattacked and took a 3-2 lead. However, Kerala equalized in the 73rd minute. Kerala took the lead in the 16th minute when opportunistic striker Ahmed Anfa tapped in a cross. Left. Delhi equalized eight minutes later from a corner kick when Sonam Tsewang Lokham found herself in the right position. Kerala went ahead on the stroke of half time; Anfas once again dodged the defenders and tapped in when the Delhi goalkeeper made a mistake in taking a very innocuous cross from the left. In the second half, Delhi scored its second goal in the 60th minute through Ramesh Chhetri's spot-kick conversion. Substitute Akshay Raj Singh took the lead after just 3–5 minutes and Sanu Stellas converted a corner kick to bring Kerala back into the game.
