The fire broke out around 5 in the morning.

Fire has been reported in 5 shops on the ground, mezzanine and first floor of the building. The total burnt area of ​​the building is 200 square metres.

10 fire tenders were sent to the spot and firefighters worked tirelessly to control the fire.

Speaking to ANI, Fire Director, Atul Garg said, "The fire is now under control and no casualties or injuries have been reported."

Amid the current hot weather conditions, fire incidents have increased significantly in various parts of the country.

Earlier on Thursday, there was news of a massive fire in Marwari Katra market located in Chandni Chowk of the national capital, in which more than 100 shops were burnt to ashes.

Delhi Police has registered an FIR and investigation into the matter has been started.
