New Delhi, Del Monte Foods, which operates in the packed food segment, on Thursday announced the appointment of Abhinav Kapoor as its Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
According to a company statement, he will lead the senior leadership team of Del Monte Foods and lead the long-term strategy for the business, which is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Del Monte Pacific.
Kapoor has over two decades of experience in sales and distribution in the FMCG/consumer business sector and previously served as Vice President of Sales at luggage and travel accessories manufacturer VIP Industries.
He was also the Business Head of the Foods and Snacks Division at Cavinkare and held key positions at Britannia Industries, Mondelez and Marico.
Harjeet Kohli, Joint Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises, said, “We are confident that he will successfully grow the operating platform in both B2B and B2C segments in India based on strong organic growth across categories and bring transformational initiatives to the associated product portfolio.” ,
