Antalya [Turkey], Deepika Kumari-led Indian women's recurve archery team crashed out of the Final World Quota Tournament in the second round and failed to secure a quota for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 in Antalya.

The Indian women's recurve archery team of Deepika Kumari, Bhajan Kaur and Ankita Bhakt lost their round of 16 match against Ukraine's Veronika Marchenko, Anastasia Pavlova and Olha Chebotarenko on Friday.

The Indian team dominated the first four sets and led 3-1. However, Ukraine came back into the game in the next set and won it 5–3.

Ukraine's Veronika Marchenko, Anastasia Pavlova and Olha Chebotarenko secured Olympic quotas for Paris 2024 after reaching the semi-finals of the women's team event.

However, Indian women archers will get a chance to achieve quotas for the individual rounds.

Earlier in May, Indian recurve archers ended their campaign on a zero note at the Archery World Cup 2024 Stage 2 with Deepika Kumari, the only Indian archer in the race for a medal, losing in the women's individual event on the final day of the competition. Recurve archery bronze medal match, lost to Alejandra Valencia of Mexico by a score of 4-6.
