Currently, 91 people are undergoing treatment at Kallakurichi Government Medical College and Hospital and 32 people have died at Kallakurichi Government Medical College and Hospital. According to hospital authorities, 20 people have been discharged from the Kallakurichi Government Medical College.

Ten people have been admitted to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry and a total of 6 have been discharged from the hospital. A total of four people died at the Jawaharlal Institute of Research in Postgraduate Medical Education.

30 people are under treatment at Salem Medical College while 21 have died, hospital authorities said.

Four people died in Villupuram Medical College due to consumption of illicit liquor and 4 are currently admitted in Villupuram Medical College.

One person has been admitted to Royapettah Major Hospital in Chennai. Two people have been discharged from Sri Sanjeevi Hospital.

A total of 136 people have been admitted to five hospitals. The total number of people affected by illicit liquor consumption has increased to 225.

Scenes of riot broke out in the Tamil Nadu assembly on Wednesday as AIDMK leaders dressed in black shirts protested inside and outside the house.
