According to a statement issued by the Taliban-led ministry, 66 people have died and 36 others have been injured due to the recent floods. The Taliban-led ministry said 235 houses had been destroyed and 600 cattle had been killed due to the recent floods, Kham Press reported. Additionally, the United Nations Office in Afghanistan said they would strive to meet the immediate needs of flood-affected people by providing them permanent housing. Dozens of people have lost their lives, roads have been damaged and roofs of houses have collapsed due to rain and floods in Afghanistan in recent days, Kham Press reports. Meanwhile, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said that 32 people have died and 44 others have been injured due to recent floods in Afghanistan.
