DDCA has issued a 'Notice Inviting Tender' (NIT) inviting bidders on the proposed team franchise to participate in the league. The governing body has proposed the launch of the new league in August/September 2024.

The league will initially consist of six teams each for men and women that will participate in the league under a round-robin format during each season, with a play-off after the first round to decide the winner, runner-up and third place. There will be matches. Team in the league. DDCA also reserves the right to make changes in the number of teams participating in the league as deemed appropriate from time to time.

Bidders will have to bid a minimum of Rs 25,00,000 (Twenty Five Lakhs) and after evaluation, the qualified bidders will have to make a presentation before taking the final decision.

The successful bidder will be awarded the DPL for a period of five seasons or five years, whichever is earlier, and can be extended for a further period of three seasons/year at the discretion of DDCA. However, they reserve the right to terminate the contract in case of any breach of the agreement.

The last date for bid submission is 15th July.
