During the meeting, the Governor said that India has diverse social and cultural traditions from south to north, with different colors and styles of turban in the northern states, especially Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. He also said that the people of Punjab are not only brave but also very hardworking and grow two to three crops in a year.

The Governor said, “The land of Punjab is not only known for religious tourism, but it also has great potential for eco-tourism.”

He also asked the visiting delegation to spend a night at Nangal Dam to enjoy the natural beauty of the region and work on ways of cooperation in the field of eco-tourism.

The Czech envoy told the Governor that the recent visit of Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky to India led to the signing of a strategic partnership on innovation, science and technology. He further said that they are actively working to promote 'sister-city' relationship between Prague and Chandigarh.
