Examinations for first year admission are being conducted in more than 26 universities across the country, including all the central universities.

On Wednesday, the examination for Chemistry, Biology, English and Genera Studies was conducted at 2,157 centers across the country.

6,43,752 candidates appeared for Chemistry exam at 1,640 centres, 3,63,067 candidates appeared for Biology exam, 8,62,209 candidates appeared for English exam, while for General Studies, 7,21,986 candidates appeared for General Studies at 1,89 centres. Happened.

UGC Chairman M. Jagadish Kumar said that the first day of CUET-UG was successfully conducted across India.

Since students appear for multiple exams, it is equivalent to handling 25,91,014 students in a single day, which is 44.71 per cent of the total scheduled slots for students registered in pen-and-paper mode, he said.

“Conducting such a large number of CUET-UGs in a single day is a historic achievement by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA deserves to be congratulated for its meticulous planning and ensuring that the examination was conducted well today " Largely in pen-and-paper mode,” Kumar said.

The examinations for four papers scheduled on Wednesday at 258 centers across Delhi were postponed till May 29 on Tuesday.

The postponement was necessitated due to some logistical issues beyond the control of NTA. Accordingly, new admit cards will be issued to students in Delhi.
