Ramban/Jammu, A CRPF bus going from Srinagar to Jammu caught fire due to a technical fault in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The occupants escaped unharmed, officials said Thursday.

Officials said the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy bus caught fire near Battery Chashma on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the afternoon.

The fire was brought under control and no one was injured. He told that the vehicle has suffered some damage.

Ramban SHO Vijay Kotwal said preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the engine wiring.

He said, "CRPF soldiers traveling in the bus are safe." 6/2/2024 SZM
