CPI (ML) Liberation, which won two Lok Sabha seats in Patna, Bihar, on Saturday demanded the Center to immediately withdraw the Agneepath recruitment scheme.

The party, which won Arrah and Karakat Lok Sabha seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, also said the Center should consider the Indian block's demand for conducting caste census and granting special category status to Bihar for the overall development of the state.

CPI(ML) Liberation also said it would revive its long-pending demand to include Bhojpuri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution so that it can be given official language status.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, CPI (ML) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said, "India Bloc has been demanding scrapping of the Agneepath recruitment scheme since the very beginning. We demand the Center to withdraw it immediately because This is very discriminatory and unfair.“Our party has also been opposing this plan from the beginning.”

He said, "CPI(ML) Liberation, which is part of the India Bloc, strongly believes that the country needs a caste census in the country. This will help the government identify the populations (castes) that are economically and socially disadvantaged. Are socially backward." We will put pressure on the NDA-led central government to immediately start the process of conducting caste census in the country.

Explaining the party's demand for giving special status to Bihar, Bhattacharya said, "The NDA government at the Center should give special status to Bihar. We are hopeful that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is part of the NDA alliance, will press for it." Giving special status to Bihar will help the state develop at a faster pace, generate more employment and also attract investment in the state. Can be invited.

Bhattacharya said, "The BJP-led central government should consider our demand to include Bhojpuri in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. This language, which is popular across the world, is deeply rooted in districts like Bhojpuri, Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar." Has taken root." In Bihar's Saran, East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Jehanabad and many parts of Jharkhand, we demand the Center to immediately give the status of official language to Bhojpuri.Bhojpuri language is popular in Arrah, Karakat, Sasaram, Buxar, East Champaran, Saran, Siwan, West and Gopalganj Lok Sabha constituencies.

He said, "Scheduled status confers certain benefits to a language. It makes it imperative for the government to take measures for the development of the scheduled language so that it develops and becomes an effective means of communication with time."
