Thiruvananthapuram, LDF convenor and CPI(M) central committee member E Jayarajan on Tuesday sent a legal notice against BJP leader Shobha Surendran, KPCC president K Sudhakaran and a middleman, alleging that they hatched a conspiracy to defame him. There has been wrong publicity. His party.

According to a CPI(M) statement, Jayarajan in his notice refuted Sobha Surendran's claim that he had expressed interest in joining the BJP and was with a middleman, terming it as 'blatant falsehood'.

According to the notice, if the allegations are not withdrawn and an apology is not made through the media, civil and criminal action will be initiated and a compensation of Rs 2 crore will be sought from him.

The move comes a day after the CPI(M) state secretariat authorized Jayarajan to initiate legal action in connection with allegations of his controversial meeting with BJP leader Prakash Javadekar.

In its statement today, the CPI(M) alleged that Shobha Surendran, Sudhakaran, a middleman T G Nandakumar are spreading defamation against Jayarajan in interviews and responses given in various newspapers and news channels.It said that by alleging things which are not related to facts, not only Jayarajan but also the party and its leaders have been insulted.

CPI(M) described Jayarajan as a leader with 60 years of experience in the party.

It claimed, "His party loyalty and commitment to the ideology are unquestionable. In April 1995, two BJP men tried to kill Jayarajan in a train."

“Such derogatory allegations were made against such a leader for political purposes during the elections itself,” the party alleged.Earlier, such covert steps were taken even during by-elections."

CPI(M) also said that the political intention behind exposing this incident which took place a year ago, just before the Lok Sabha elections, is also clear.
