Thiruvananthapuram, The ruling CPI(M) in Kerala on Sunday called for removal of campaign materials put up by Left Democratic Front workers at public places across the state in the run-up to the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

The state secretariat of the Marxist party said all such materials, including boards, posters, flags and celebrations put up by the LDF across the state, would be removed by May 10.

As part of the Lok Sabha election campaign, several campaign materials have been put up by party workers across the state and should be removed as soon as possible, a statement said.

The state secretariat has also urged party leaders and workers to take initiative in removing campaign material, the statement said.

Lok Sabha elections were held in Kerala on 26 April.
